Greetings

Hello and Welcome to my class website. It is my intention that this website will help to keep the means of communication open for my parents and students. Please know that my classroom door is always open for your questions and comments.

Background Information:

I earned my B.A. in History from Binghamton University (New York), a Master's of Science in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University (Minnesota), and a certification in Gifted Education from the Citadel (South Carolina). I currently hold valid professional teaching licenses in Virginia, South Carolina and Connecticut. I have also had the honor of earning both the Esther Goldman Teacher Award for Excellence in Holocaust Education from the UJFT in Virginia, and the Teacher of the Year Award in 2008 at Alston Middle School in South Carolina. I have had the privilege of teaching in a number of states thanks to my husband, who is a Lieutenant in the US Navy. My husband and I have three children: Anica, Hannah and Drew (AKA: The Boy). We also have a beautiful and spoiled Sheltie named Rexxie. 6 days a week we are either at a soccer field, baseball field or hockey rink, so if you ever have any questions the best way to reach me is via my personal email at starkhistoryclass@gmail.com. When we are not at a sporting event, we enjoy traveling with our children and experiencing all that this great country has to offer.
