Hello and Welcome to my class website. It is my intention that this website will help to keep the means of communication open for my parents and students. Please know that my classroom door is always open for your questions and comments.
I earned my B.A. in History from Binghamton
University (New York), a Master's of Science in Curriculum, Instruction and
Assessment from Walden University (Minnesota), and a certification in Gifted
Education from the Citadel (South Carolina).
I currently hold professional teaching licenses in Virginia, South Carolina
and Connecticut. I have also had the honor of earning both the Esther
Goldman Teacher Award for Excellence in Holocaust Education from the UJFT in
Virginia, and the Teacher of the Year Award for 2008 at Alston Middle School
in South Carolina. I have had the
privilege
of teaching in a number of states thanks to my husband, who is active duty
military. My husband Joseph and I have three children: Anica, Hannah and
Drew (AKA: The Boy). Recently, we have expanded our family and adopted two beautiful Shelties named Rexxie
and Ryan.
